The Black Bear Half Marathon held in Waterville Valley is a USATF sanctioned event. Participation in thus event is under USATF competitive rules.

RULES:
Race Numbers:
Make sure that the number bib is properly affixed on the front of your running top and visible at all times.
Audio Devices:
Carrying and/or using any portable device is not allowed during the race.
Environment:
Distance running is an environmentally friendly sport. Do not leave any trash on the course. Discard it at the appropriate sites on the route.
Courtesy and sportsmanship:
Treat other athletes, police, marshalls, volunteers, officials and spectators with courtesy and consideration. In not doing so is unsportsmanlike and will lead to disqualification.
Motor vehicles on route:
By Police order, spectators will not be allowed to follow the race by driving around or parking on any part of the run route during the event.
